OUR K9 UNITS ARE HIGHLY TRAINED AND CERTIFIED TO FIND EXPLOSIVE SUBSTANCES

The standard operating procedure requires the use of a Team that possesses the following skills and equipment:

  • Blaster
  • Explosives Specialist
  • 2 K9 unit
  • 1 Specialized service man
  • 1 Supervisor
  • 1 vehicle used for the movement and the shelter of 4 dogs

REMEDIATION EXECUTION PROCEDURE

At the beginning of the service the research activity will be started with the use of the dog unit, which will use the specific techniques foreseen for the identification of energy explosive substances.

The research activity will take place with 40-minute shifts per unit, thus ensuring an alternate 40-minute rest for each dog employed.

The research activity will be carried out for the whole area to be reclaimed in terms of length, width and elevation, practically all the existing cubages. This procedure will be constantly performed in the alternation of the scheduled shifts.

In the case of positive signaling we will proceed in this way:

Phase 1: in case of positive signal of a dog, the handler will proceed to the communication of the feedback to the Blaster and to the Explosives Specialist.

Phase 2: as soon as the signal is received, the Blaster and the Explosives Specialist, in case they consider it opportune, will call another dog unit to check if another dog confirms the finding.

Phase 3: in case of persistence of the positive signaling, the Blaster and the Explosives Specialist will provide:

  • Invite to leave all persons nearby without creating alarm or panic;
  • To limit the area at risk with discretion;
  • Call the police forces by communicating to them all the information collected in steps 1,2,3.
